A message from Principal Cassie Green
"Welcome to Girdwood School, where active, engaged learners thrive in a caring community inspired by its extraordinary natural surroundings. We invite you to experience the work our students and staff accomplish through academics, outdoor learning, intensives, community service, and strong family involvement. If an opportunity below aligns with your interests, please consider joining us. Your gifts and talents can help our students remain rooted in their community while branching into new experiences."

View projects on DonorsChoose.orgTeachers often maintain Amazon Wishlists for their classrooms. This would be a donation directly to the teacher. Check out the Amazon Registry search link or reach out to your child's teacher for more information!
Note: Individual teacher wishlist links are managed by teachers directly.
Girdwood PreK-8 has an active PTA for family involvement, and is also supported by the Four Valleys Community School, a local nonprofit that enriches student learning and community life in the Girdwood valley. You can get involved through the PTA or make a direct donation to Four Valleys.
There are many ways to get involved at Girdwood PreK-8 and across the Anchorage School District, from volunteering in classrooms to partnering as a local business.
